Itinerary

OLD HAVANA WALKING TOUR
The best way to get to grips with Havana at speed is to explore the beautiful old town (La Habana Vieja) where the tour begins, on foot. The district’s listing as a UNESCO World Heritage Site has helped maintain and preserve the area in all it’s (albeit slightly flaking) colonial and pre-revolutionary splendour. You’ll take in El Capitolio (the National Capitol Building), the grand former seat of government in Cuba until the Cuban Revolution, which bears a resemblance to the Capitol building in Washington DC. Then there’s El Floridita, the cocktail bar that was the favoured drinking hole for American author Ernest Hemingway when he was done with writing for the day. One of the main focuses of this Old Havana Walking tour is to take in four main public squares of Old Havana – Plaza de Armas, Plaza Vieja, Plaza de San Francisco de Asis and Plaza de la Catedral

CLASSIC CAR TOUR OF HAVANA
As soon as you set foot on Cuban soil you will have spotted the vintage American cars that have become a Cuban icon alongside images of Che Guevara, cigars, bottles of rum and rumba music. Their revving engines may be loud, but their stylized middle of the century curves are a testament to the spirit of the Cuba people and their desire to succeed despite the US trade embargo that began in the early 1960s and kept these museum pieces on the roads of Havana right until the present day.
The next part of your tour of Havana involves you getting up close and personal with one of these beautiful vintage cars. Giving your feet a well-earned rest in the back of a classic convertible you will see how the older, colonial parts of the city sit comfortably alongside the newer socialist structures of the more modern sections of the city. You’ll be driven along the seafront esplanade known as the Malecon and take in the sights of the Vedado and Miramar districts as well as Revolution Square. The elegant mansions of Miramar, once the home of Havana’s elite, are undergoing rejuvenation. Many of their crumbling facades are being restored and opened up as restaurants, bars, or clubs, promising a good future for these wonderful structures.

MOJITO MAKING CLASS IN OLD HAVANA
Our Private Havana Delight Tour concludes in style. We’ll take you to one of our favorite venues in Havana to be whisked up to the rooftop for a lesson in how to make the perfect mojito cocktail (or non-alcoholic alternative should you prefer). As day turns towards evening this magical city will light up beneath you, and we wouldn’t blame you if you choose to spend the rest of the night here!
